The Christmas gala concert is a big event that is regularly broadcast by Croatian Radio and Television, and the number of excellent conductors who have conducted the orchestra at it so far speaks for how much it is appreciated. From 2003 to 2005, it was maestro Miljenko Prohaska, in 2008 it was professor Zlatko Strčić, and all other years until today, the orchestra has been conducted by maestro Alan Bjelinski.
Christmas gala concert
Every year on the eve of Christmas, a traditional Christmas gala concert is held in Bjelovar. The event has a twenty-year tradition, and gathers many well-known names of the domestic and foreign music scene who arrive on the Bjelovar stage to perform the most beautiful Christmas compositions. The repertoire includes wonderful old traditional Christmas songs as well as more recent hits that we always enjoy listening to around the holidays.
