Advent

Advent is always a magical time in Bjelovar. The city shines in Christmas lights, and the streets are filled with the smells of Christmas cakes and children’s laughter. On the first Sunday of Advent, Advent events begin on the streets of the city and continue until the Feast of the Three Kings. The smell of mulled wine then draws adults to the streets, while the youngest can enjoy Advent lights and holiday activities.

Every year there is a Christmas market where you can find an excellent gastronomic offer as well as products from small local producers and family-run farms. Couples can enjoy romantic walks under holiday lights and Advent music. The kids will be delighted by the ice rink, amusement park and numerous shows and creative workshops held in the very center of the city. Advent in Bjelovar is also an opportunity to get acquainted with Czech customs through the workshops of the association Češka obec Bjelovar, to learn something new through travel lectures and to participate in creative courses and exhibitions.
